1. Gov.uk

Findajob.gov is the official website of the UK government. You can set the filters to look for a specific job title, preferred area or location. It is also possible to sort the list of openings by posting date, salary range and category. A quick search showed ~ 50k IT jobs in the UK.


How it works:


You have to create an account and publish your resume in order to apply for the jobs listed. To facilitate the process you can set up email alerts about new listing.

2. LinkedIn

Although LinkedIn is an American business- and employment-oriented online service, the website is still suitable for those who look for a job in the UK. The platform is primarily used for professional networking and career development. It also allows users to fill in their CVs on the website and then download its PDF-version. You can also be a part of themed groups like Women in Tech UK or techUK.


How it works:


The user is creating the account and fills it as detailed as possible with all the relevant pieces of professional information. Businesses and employers are posting their jobs and the job seeker can just apply for the vacancy through the platform.

3. Indeed

Indeed.com allows you to search job postings on thousands of websites. Some might name it a version of Google of job opportunities. The website helps the user to find the job no matter where it is posted originally.


How it works:


The website provides you search results and then you click and get redirected to the website it was originally posted.

4. Totaljobs

Totaljobs is one of the leading websites for job search. Each month it attracts over 6 million people looking for work in the UK and nearly 110 thousand new employers. You can also filter the necessary categories and enter your queries into the search bar. A quick search showed ~19k IT jobs in the UK.


How it works:


To get access to the full list of job openings and to the ability to send your CV to a potential employer, you have to create an account. The app version is also available on App Store and Google Play.

5. Reed

Reed is considered to be the UK's number 1 job search website with over 7 million users accessing it every day. There are plenty of jobs to choose from: every year, more than 25 thousand of private and public employers list their openings there. The user can filter unnecessary vacancies out and choose the salary range, the field of work, location and view offers from the companies. The website also provides training options and professional tips for workers and recent graduates.

A quick search showed ~ 96k IT jobs in the UK.


How it works:


To post your resume and be able to send applications to potential employers, you will have to register on the website. The app version is also available.

6. Bubblejobs

BubbleJobs holds a large number of technology vacancies (~15k). It presents itself as the number 1 UK tech and digital jobs board. Developers, account managers, copywriters, SEO and SMM specialists, graphic designers and representatives of many other similar professions can find work here using this website in any city in the UK. The website provides career tips and shows the latest job openings posted.


How it works:



Unlike other websites, BubbleJobs does not ask you to create an account or register there before you can apply for a job. You can find the best matching digital jobs and opportunities, view the detailed specification for the jobs you are interested in and apply for them directly at their source straight away.

7. Technojobs

Another source for IT professionals (~11k IT jobs in the UK), TechnoJobs was created back in 1999 and for two decades the website has won numerous awards at recruitment contests. The website offers over 10 thousand positions a month to tech specialists. Top areas include cybersecurity, software development, IT management, and business analytics. The clients of the resource are the auto giants Jaguar and Land Rover, the BBC News TV channel, so there is a chance to find not just a high-paying, but also a prestigious job.


How it works:


You will have to sign up with TechnoJobs to be able to use instant job applications and the ability to save searches. The website also provides a free CV review for those who registered with them.

8. Glassdoor

Glassdoor will help you find a job not only in the UK, but also anywhere you want. How is this website different from all the rest? The platform provides information on company reviews and interview questions from people on the inside making it easy to find the best job for you. Glassdoor can also help you to be more aware of the job situation in the UK by posting useful rankings like Best Jobs in the UK for 2021 with the median base salary and the job satisfaction criteria.
