Nadzeya Savitskaya entered the tech field just a few years ago, yet she successfully secured the UK Exceptional Promise Visa. Now, she’s preparing to move to England to advance her career in technology. In this interview, she shares how she embraced being a “yes” professional to gain experience, overcome imposter syndrome, and establish herself as a recognized talent in digital technologies.

You received your visa as an Exceptional Promise, recognizing you as a young professional with great potential. Could you please tell us about your experience in the tech industry?

Nadzeya Savitskaya: I have been in the industry for a little over 5 years. My experience is diverse — I’ve worked in an outsourcing company, in a product company, in consulting, and even on developing my own startup. I’ve also actively participated in various events that foster community development. In short, I said "yes" to almost everything that came my way.

When did you decide to move to the UK? What made this country more appealing compared to others?

Nadzeya Savitskaya: I started considering a move to the UK over two years ago, primarily because of the opportunity to gain citizenship in the near future—something not possible in Lithuania, where I’ve lived for the past four years. The career opportunities, healthcare system, and other benefits were just added bonuses.

When did you realize that you wanted to apply for the Global Talent visa specifically? Did you consider alternatives, and why did you ultimately choose this option?

Nadzeya Savitskaya: Yes, I remember googling options for moving to the UK and reading an article about possible pathways. I didn’t consider a student visa, I was hesitant about applying for a work visa, and the Global Talent visa sounded even scarier. Then, I heard news that my company had opened an office in London, so I approached my manager to ask for relocation. It turned out the news was incorrect, but instead, he suggested that I apply for a Global Talent visa and explained that I might meet the requirements.

How did you find out about Immigram, and why did you choose this company?

Nadzeya Savitskaya: Through Google! I love delegating everything I can, so it was an obvious decision to do the same here. I wanted to find a company that could help me build my case, and Immigram was one of the leading agencies in this niche.

Your journey to obtaining the visa wasn’t easy, as you were initially refused. Could you share the reasons for the initial rejection and how you managed to address the issues?

Nadzeya Savitskaya: The reasons provided were very vague. In fact, we simply reorganized the evidence under different criteria and resubmitted the application. The documents remained the same throughout the process. I still don’t fully understand what went wrong with the first submission—perhaps the Tech Nation caseworker was just having a bad day!

What was the most challenging part of preparing your case? How did Immigram help you handle these challenges?

Nadzeya Savitskaya: Dealing with imposter syndrome, perhaps? It was also challenging to recall and describe all my relevant experience and to get all the recommendation letters signed. For me, the entire process was incredibly difficult, and I couldn’t have managed it without Immigram. They provided lots of support, information, and reassurance that everything would work out.

What advice would you give to those considering applying for the Global Talent visa in the UK?

Nadzeya Savitskaya: Go for it! Don’t waste time and start preparing your case right now. It took me two years!

Have you already moved to the UK? Could you tell us a bit about the relocation process and your future plans?

Nadzeya Savitskaya: Not yet, as my passport is still at the visa center. Hopefully, everything will go well with the visa. We’re currently choosing a city and trying to book an apartment remotely. If everything goes as planned, I might be somewhere in the UK in a month!
